Personal Loans and Secured Homeowner Loans

March 16th, 2007 by Kaushal Sheth

A friend contacted me about with a question about personal loans and I decided to do some research on the internet because I was unfamiliar with the subject. I came across SelectionLoans and found out that it offered personal loans as well as secured homeowner loans for UK residents. The website was pretty well designed and I learned a lot about personal loans, secured homeowner loans and other types of loans.

For instance, I found out that unsecured loan rates can vary very greatly between lenders. For example, I learned that car loans are usually one of the most expensive forms of personal loans. Rates can go from 15% up to 40% depending on your credit history and other factors. Very scary indeed, don’t you think? I read a little more before going to bed. I’ll sent an email to my friend with a link to Selectloans.co.uk and I hope it helps him.

Loans and Mortgage Broker

March 16th, 2007 by Kaushal Sheth

I’ve recently been thinking of getting some loans because I need some extra money to pay off some debts. I searched the internet for more information on loans and came across UK Personal Loan Store, a pretty well designed website which offered a lot of information on loans such as personal loans, secured loans and car loans. I was particularly interested in mortgages section because I knew very little about the subject.

I found out that a mortgage is the loan you take from a lender in order to pay for a property. This is evidently one of the best ways to fall into heavy debt so the website recommended that one should hire a reliable mortgage broker who will help to sort out all the best mortgage packages available. I guess using a good mortgage broker is very essential. That’s gotta be something I should keep in mind if I ever need to get involved in mortgages.

BlogCatalog - Directory of Blogs

March 11th, 2007 by Kaushal Sheth

Few months back I had written about a fantastic new service started by Text-link-Ads called Reviewme. Though I hadn’t got any opportunity to review any sites through this service but yesterday I received an email in my inbox stating Blogcatalog.com has decided that I should review their site.

Blogcatalog as far as I vaguely remember was bought in January and the new owner has made lot of useful changes to the blog directory. The change can be very well reflected in improved traffic. Blogcatalog traffic has increased from 2000 visitors a day to over 5000. The new site has more powerful search feature and the much needed ranking algorithm. I always like ranking mechanism as it helps to find the best in a short time. Blogcatalog also offers a sponsored category positions for a low as 5$ to 8$. Pretty cheap considering the amount of exposure and traffic you would gain from it. After all, the primary concerns of the site it to give maximum exposure to the bloggers and increase their traffic.

So the next question arises what more improvements can one do to such a popular blog directory? Personally I feel they can increase the number of featured blogs on the front page and perhaps create a section or archive of featured blogs which might contain all the featured blogs till date. Also if they can add a bookmarking featured for all the registered users who can bookmark their favorite blogs and share them with their friends, it would be great.

Still it is surely worth adding your blog to their blog directory. Also I would love to hear comments, suggestions from you all bloggers as to how they can improve their site.

Blog for Banking

December 6th, 2006 by Kaushal Sheth

Keeping track of bank rates and money markets is a job that can bamboozle even the most hardened investor. And what is worse is that they change everyday. Two months back my friend recommended bankaholics.com and I must say that it has surely come up with an uncomplicated solution.

Yes, the power of blogs for banking. Whether you are looking for the best CD rate or the best money market rate, bankaholics.com provides you with the best deal to opt for depending on the amount you wish to invest. Also, any fine print related to investment that you need to know is posted here (of course in normal font) and you can even look for great freebies like a $25 for sign up account or a no-annual-fee credit card to go along with your investment. In addition one can seek comments on topics or get to read about all the grapevine talk about the next big deal and my experience on this has been spot on.

For those curious about aesthetics, this blog uses a K2 theme and a three column design and has good functionality and features. So it is simple and clean to move around. All in all, it is worth a look.
