Be Approchable

September 29th, 2005 by Kaushal Sheth

You asking wrong person, ask XYZ ( can’t write name of person due to varied reasons ) if you want help, guidance in writing your statement of purpose SOP was the blunt reply I gave to my friend when he asked me to help him on the above subject. He replied “Leave it then I will do it myself”

I then pondered for a while thought what could have been the reason for this reply. The only conclusion I could draw was maybe she is not as approachable as I am or others in my class.

Here is one more incident. It has happened to me quite a few times before but this week while I am talking to a prospective client I ask him my usual questions (How you come to know about me, why me ) he put forth some comments ( I thought you didn’t take small projects , thought you were not approachable ) which has forced me to write this article and perhaps in this way teach myself how to be more approachable

Be Positive

September 28th, 2005 by Kaushal Sheth

Wednesday morning and I get up late. Surprisingly first thing that I landed up doing today is reading newspaper , not that I am against newspaper but would prefer a e-news headlines to Newspaper Headlines.

Well that is not what this blog is all about. While glancing through HT Style section today I came across this section Love Actually…. . Surprise Surprise I came across this really cool quote which I think well deserves much more notice. The quote read like this

Dear Friends, Have a positive attitude in life. There is something positive in every person and situation. Even a stopped clock is right twice.

Well before this whenever I came across word Positive I would rather have a different perspective. Remember Anil Kapoor’s repetitive funny use of this word “Be positive” in film No Entry which in end turns out to be his blood group ( ya crap sick funny jokes still exist in Indian films) or the campaign of Aids. Oh ya I can see some wicked sly smile from some people still when someone says “Be positive” as if murmuring inside if the person knew what he really meant.

But this quote especially the last line of clock has indeeed changed my perspective and perhaps my life. I am positive are you ?

New theme

September 26th, 2005 by Kaushal Sheth

Last night I was busy searching for perfect theme for this blog. Don’t know about others but I feel looks are the first impression when it comes to site followed by navigation, usability. After searching for almost a hour I found this theme and have a strong feeling that this theme will stay default for quite a long time now.

The moment I saw it I feel love with it and why not it is modification of now so famous Kubrick theme. I love it.
